According to supply chain sources, the mobile phone chip maker broke the news that the PA chip developed by Huawei has been handed over to the domestic foundry and mass production will begin in Q1 next year.
It is reported that in mid-May, Huawei was listed by the United States as an entity. This means that Huawei is facing a risk of being banned when purchasing products such as semiconductors. Therefore, Huawei announced the launch of the spare tire program, more chips will be developed by itself, and PA chips are also in the self-study line.
PA is the abbreviation of Power Amplifier, the Chinese name is power amplifier, referred to as "amplifier". The performance of the PA chip directly determines the communication distance, signal quality and standby time of wireless terminals such as mobile phones, and is the most important component of the entire communication system chipset except the baseband master chip.
Prior to this, Huawei relied heavily on American-based manufacturers. Most of the purchased PA chips came from Skyworks, Qorvo and Broadcom. If the energy is produced from the PA chip, it is undoubtedly a painful blow to the United States.
